Camp Overview

Training camp opens this year with many unanswered questions, such as, who's going to play cornerback, and what's Ray Sherman doing differently with the offense? Still, the Steelers are once again one of the top Super Bowl contenders. They need training camp to work out some of the holes left by free agency and injuries. Yancey Thigpen is in Tennesee, Chad Scott and Tim Lester are hurt, Greg Lloyd was released, and the offensive line is starting to age. The key parts of the team - Stewart, Bettis, Dawson, Lake, Kirkland - are all still there, but some other veterans are looking to step up.
